Feedback appreciated

I'm really excited to fully announce this website, but I would like to get some feedback from some users before I do. If you have any suggestions or comments, simply comment on this post. Thank you for the feedback, it should help in making podcast feeds better.

This is awesome. I head about scripturecast.net after General Conference was added. This allows me to go back through the conference talks and glean more from them than I got while watching four young kids during the actual sessions. I have had a goal to do this after each conference, but I have never finished it before. This time I'm sure I will because I get a daily update of how far I should be. I love being able to hear the talks and also get links to the text of the talks. I could not imagine a better system.

I'm a new IPODer / podcaster so this may be more of a user issue than anything.

Is it possible to add the latest updates in a podcast at the bottom of the list rather than at the top? Right now, when I download, I get Alma 3, 2, 1. Tomorrow, I will get Alma 6, 5, 4, leaving me with everything out of order. This is not very user friendly when working out / driving. If it would download Alma 1, 2, 3 and then tomorrow put Alma 4, 5, 6 below it - just in case I don't get to 1-3.

I think you can make a playlist as well as editing file info, but that is time consuming.

Is this something that you can do on your side, or am I just not savvy enough with my IPOD / ITUNES?

Thanks!

Cool setup. I prefer to read rather than listen to the scriptures. Can you add a feature that fetches the chapter text and produces it as an RSS feed everyday? That way it can be easily read in a feed reader instead of having to click a link to read the text. Thanks!

I found out about your service from another blog just after the October 2007 General Conference. I set it up to go through the entire General Conference again and conclude by April 4, 2008, the day before April 2008 General Conference begins. It is a great resource, but only one recurring problem. Three times since October 2007, I have had errors of not found and had to reset it three times.

Is there any way that I could help you to get the Bible and the latest conference recordings onto ScriptureCast? I assume you are trying to add those resources, and I'm sure that's a lot of work - can any of that work be spread to others such as myself?

David, yes I could use the help. The process is kind of sticky, but I'm sure there is something straight forward that you could do, especially with General conference. I'll be in touch in the next week.

Thanks for your work on this. Would it be possible to cast specific verses rather than whole chapters?

What I had in mind is a scripturecast of each week's Gospel Doctrine reading assignment, which often pick several verses or blocks of verses from several chapters.

I would also love to see the Priesthood/RS Teachings of the Prophets available.

Thanks again!

@West Jordan House,
Only complete chapters can be 'casted because that is how the audio files are available.

I would like to get the Teachings of the Prophet manual added someday.
